Snug as a bug in a rug.

Without Katrina planning ahead, there is no way we could have pulled off this trip. Period. She ordered so many supplies to help keep us in the car for long stretches of time, and to help pass the time for the kids. She advance-ordered food and supplies more than a week ahead of time, and had everything ready to go. She also helped estimate and budget everything. The entire trip. Which helped us realize our options and make rational and cost-effective decisions. She ordered food and snacks, and a brand new cooler that she stocked with a perfect supply of water, juice, and smoothies. She also ordered seat trays that attached to Aiden’s booster seat and Tori’s car seat. Those helped a ton with meals, homework, and playtime activities on the road.

Katrina did almost all the work to call in and book rooms, as well as get us situated with keys and checkins when we arrived. She planned and executed the first half of the trip, and I planned and executed most of the return. We balanced driving responsibilities really well, and worked together as a team. We couldn’t have done it without all her up-front planning and prep. I’m eternally grateful, and I owe her more anniversary attention.

Look, it’s an armadillo!

I think the long hours on the road strained us past where we were expecting by the time we arrived home, but Katrina’s efforts made it bearable and worthwhile for all of us.

We love you and appreciate you. You hold our world together. <3
